Angeleno Accounts

To use the Online Application System (OAS), you need an Angeleno Account. Visit: https://account.lacity.gov

Important Note: Planning IT does not have access to assist with Angeleno Account issues such as account creation issues or password reset help.

Questions About Your Submission or Review Status

If you have already submitted a project application and have questions about the review process, next steps, or comments from Planning staff, please review the information below.

For Planning Review Questions

Planning IT cannot provide guidance on project review content, invoicing, case processing, or requirements.

Contact Your Assigned Planner

If your project is currently in review and has been assigned to a City Planning staff member:

  • Log in to OAS
  • Open your project
  • Select “Add Note” in the Project Notes section of the Project Details Page to send your question directly to your assigned planner

Using Add Note ensures your inquiry is linked to your project and reviewed by the appropriate Planning staff.

Need Help but No Planner Is Assigned?

If your project has not yet been assigned to a planner or you have general questions about planning services, filing requirements, invoicing, or case processing, please visit:

Help with OAS (Online Application System)

If you're having issues with the Online Application System (OAS), try these initial troubleshooting steps first before submitting a support request.

  1. Clear your browser cache and cookies
  2. Use a supported browser
    • OAS works best on Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
  3. Make sure your browser is up to date
  4. Restart your computer
    • This can clear out temporary errors or system conflicts.

Working with PDF Files

OAS supports PDF uploads up to 100MB. If your file is larger, please reduce its size or split it into smaller parts.

Reduce PDF File Size

Use Adobe’s Compress PDF tool :

  1. Open the Compress PDF page .
  2. Upload your file and choose compression level.
  3. Download the smaller PDF.

Split a PDF into Smaller Files

Use Adobe’s Split PDF tool :

  1. Open the Split PDF page .
  2. Upload your file and set split points.
  3. Download the separate PDFs.

Tips

  • Keep a backup of the original file.
  • Check the final PDFs for readability.
