Between 2006-2009, the New Community Plan (NCP) program began with a land use survey of the Plan Area. This was followed with a series of workshops and small group meetings held throughout the Boyle Heights area to identify community concerns. In 2009, the Boyle Heights Community Plan was placed on hold due to budgetary concerns. The Department of City Planning was recently directed to resume work on the Boyle Heights Community Plan.
