Commissioner Saitman has dedicated his professional career to the renewable energy industry specializing in asset management, specifically the commercial operation of utility-scale power plants. With over 10 years of relevant experience, he brings knowledge and expertise to the City Planning Commission in areas such as land use, regulatory policy, risk management, and environmental health and safety. A native Angeleno from the San Fernando Valley, he moved to Massachusetts to attend Boston University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance. After 9 years of living in the Boston Metro area, he returned to the San Fernando Valley with an appreciation for walkable cities, accessible public transit, and housing density as a mechanism for sustainable living. Commissioner Saitman looks to apply his personal and professional experiences to his role on the Los Angeles City Planning Commission by advocating for an improved Los Angeles for all of its citizens.
