Phyllis Klein has more than 35 years of experience in real estate finance, with a focus on multifamily housing. She previously served as Senior Vice President and Head of Agency Production at Capital One, overseeing origination for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA programs.
Prior to Capital One, Ms. Klein spent 18 years at Fannie Mae in several leadership roles, including Head of Production for Large Borrowers and Seniors Housing and Head of Marketing and Communications.
Earlier, she served as Executive Director of the California Debt Limit Allocation Committee (CDLAC) under State Treasurer Phil Angelides, overseeing the state’s allocation of tax-exempt private activity bonds. She also held positions at Wells Fargo Bank and Union Bank.
Ms. Klein has served on the boards of the National Multifamily Housing Council and the Mortgage Bankers Association and is a Past President of Temple Israel of Hollywood.
She holds a B.A. in Economics from UC Berkeley and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from USC.
