The TVC 2050 Project is a proposal for the modernization and expansion of media production facilities within the approximately 25-acre Television City studio campus. In October and November 2023, the Department of City Planning released preliminary drafts for a portion of the land use regulatory documents that are being requested in conjunction with the Project. These included the TVC 2050 Specific Plan and a portion of the Specific Plan Appendices. Links to these preliminary draft documents are provided at the bottom of this page for reference.
In April 2024, modifications to the TVC 2050 Project were made (Modified Project). These changes are detailed in the Erratum to the TVC 2050 Project Environmental Impact Report (EIR). In addition, updated drafts of the land use regulatory documents are now available to reflect the Modified Project. These include the TVC 2050 Specific Plan and Appendices and TVC 2050 Sign District and Appendices. Links to these updated documents are provided immediately below. Please note that the Modified Draft TVC 2050 Specific Plan and Appendices (April 2024) supersedes and replaces the Preliminary Draft TVC 2050 Specific Plan and Appendices (October/November 2023).
The TVC 2050 Specific Plan, TVC 2050 Sign District, and corresponding Appendices continue to be draft documents and will evolve throughout the City’s public process, which will include a public hearing, and City Planning Commission, Planning Land Use Management (PLUM) Committee, and City Council meetings.
