
April Sandifer is a native Angeleno dedicated to social and environmental justice. Inspired by her great-grandmother's commitment to the South Los Angeles community, she has pursued a career focused on urban development and community engagement. April earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and a Master's in Urban Ecology from Loyola Marymount University. She has held key roles such as Operations Manager at Loyola Marymount University's Center for Urban Resilience, Manager at the Urban Land Institute in Los Angeles, and Program Manager for the South Los Angeles Transit Empowerment Zone (SLATE-Z). Most recently she held the role of Director of Community Engagement at SoLa Impact, where she continued to contribute to the revitalization and empowerment of South Los Angeles.
