Thank you to all who have written to City Planning’s Office of Historic Resources, expressing initial feedback about the first draft of the proposed Objective Design Standards (ODS) for new housing in Historic Preservation Overlay Zones (HPOZs).
The public is invited to provide feedback on the draft to planning.hpozods@lacity.org through Friday, Nov. 13, 2026. Public feedback received during this period will inform the next draft of standards presented at the public hearing and for consideration by the City Planning Commission (CPC) and City Council in late fall 2026.
The Department will continue to keep interested parties apprised of additional resources and opportunities to provide input on the draft ODS, leading up to the first consideration of the ODS by the City Planning Commission.
