Thank you for visiting the Housing Element Update website. Updates to the Housing Element for the years 2021-2029 were adopted in 2021 and amended in 2022. Follow the link for more up-to-date information on the Housing Element Rezoning Program now underway.
Please be aware that the rezoning maps displayed on this webpage represent strategies which are now being refined based on public input, and may no longer fully reflect the current proposals. These rezoning maps were a key exploratory tool for the Housing Element Update’s public outreach process. For this reason, the rezoning maps cover a broad range of sites throughout the City of Los Angeles to aid City Planning in soliciting Angelenos' feedback about where they would like to see more housing. At this time, we are continuing to gather feedback on the development and application of the proposed Housing Element Rezoning Program strategies.
